His research interests are Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) in both developed and developing countries; empowerment and marginalisation; gender; and managing development activities. He has twenty years experience with development NGOs has conducted extensive field research in India. Patrick is one of Australia's leading commentators on aid policy.
