Education Ph.D., Australian National University; M.Ec., ANU; B.A., Maths and Economics, University of the South Pacific Experience Satish Chand is a Senior Associate of the Center for Island Pacific Research and Development. An Associate Professor in the Crawford School of Economics and Government at the Australian National University (ANU), Satish is also the director of the Pacific Policy Project. Professor Chand is the author, co-author, or editor of more than a dozen books and monographs. He has also written many articles for books and scholarly journals, and is regularly interviewed by news agencies as a leading commentator on the island Pacific. Recent Activities Satish has won an ARC grant to to investigate the impact and effectiveness of Australian aid to the island states of the South Pacific. This research is undertaken in partnership with the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID).
